SUIC hosted the first day of a collaborative project with EUNIC (EU National Institute for Culture) and 7 European embassies and cultural partners. The topic of “exchange rate” initiates a discussion about finding common ground, accepting other ideas, and opening boundaries.
Exchange Rate by EUNIC is organised by the Goethe-Institute Thailand in collaboration with the EUNIC cluster formed by Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Spain, and United Kingdom and Silpakorn University International College, Bangkok. EUNIC – European Union National Institutes for Culture – is the European network of organisations engaging in cultural relations from September 26 to October 9, 2022 in Bangkok. Under the theme of Exchange Rate, this year’s programme aims to support cultural and artistic exchange, nurture experimentation and support the creation of new collaborative work.
Seven European students from Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Spain, and the United Kingdom and seven students from Silpakorn University International College, who work in different disciplines including photography, video, graphic design, architecture, performance and music, have the opportunity to examine issues such as sustainability in a post-pandemic era, diversity, urbanity and public spaces collaboratively. Working in pairs (one European and one SUIC student), all students have a great opportunity to collaboratively examine issues such as sustainability in a post-pandemic era, diversity, urbanity, and public spaces.
